ERIN ZERINGUE
Artist
Bio
Erin Zeringue grew up in a family of artists of all kinds – painters, sculptors, and musicians. Her father was an excellent painter, and taught her many things. From a very young age she was taught how important it was to nurture her creativity. Over the years she evolved from a fledgling painter, to a full-steam-ahead artist. She has lived in and around New Orleans her entire life, and draws much inspiration from the history and lore of it. She is married with two beautiful children, and she tries to inspire the same love of art in her children as her father did for her.

Artist Statement
When crafting pieces, I prefer using acrylic paint, often opting for vibrant colors and strong contrasts. I enjoy depicting animals, portraits, and landscapes in my artwork. You'll notice a recurring theme of dark backgrounds paired with vivid foregrounds in my creations. I take pleasure in experimenting with textures, utilizing unconventional tools to apply paint onto canvas.
As a highly motivated self-taught artist with ambitious aspirations and a deep passion for my craft, my ultimate dream is to have my own gallery. My easel is my sanctuary – there's no other place where my heart feels as liberated.
